(Note: Some of the pictures are the unedited originals because the edited ones all together were too large of a file size to upload)
Photo 1: This photo was part of the playground assignment early in the year. Along with the playground element, there are also line and some depth of field elements, but I could be wrong about that one. I had walked to the side of this mini bridge on the playground to get the bars to line up in a certain way in order to get the look that I did. Not too close, but not too far either. This point of view would hopefully be interesting to a viewer by the way the bars line up and the other imagery in the background.
Photo 2: This photo was taken for the texture and pattern assignment. I had tried to make both present with the pattern of the tears and the texture of the fabric. and denim. I had gotten up close to it and angled it at a way that wasn't just straight up and down so it wouldn't seem to dull. This subject was right on the vest I wear almost everyday. I think it was a good photo and it was good enough to be a greatest hit.
Photo 3: This photo was part of line and shape, the first assignment we got in September. The element of line and shape can be seen from the river, to the boat ramp going into the water, and back up to the tree tops and clouds in the sky. The water was calm enough to get a nice, still environment for the image, while giving a light rippling effect. The image seems to give off a relaxing mood, as if someone was relaxing in this riverside park on a summer day. That's part of the reason why I chose this image. The overall mood is relaxing to me and hopefully others too.
Photo 4: This image was taken for the Favorites assignments very recently. It includes all the instruments I can currently play. I angled the guitar and the bass at an angle so it wasn't just a boring straight up and down angle. The drums in the background give most of a backdrop, but since I'm not a professional, you can see other parts of my basement in the back too. I still like it because it gives a good image of what I do outside of school.
Photo 5: This was from the studio portraits about 2 months back. We used more professional lighting and backgrounds to get good studio portraits. It was probably one of my more favorite assignments and I think a lot of people in the class enjoyed it too. This one really portrays me as a person. I was only the subject but I went into photoshop and messed around with the coloring. I turned everything in the photo black and white except for the reds. The hair, the guitar strap and a sticker are what stands out the most and it's what I want the view to focus on most. It all shows a part of my characteristics, although it doesn't seem like it.
Photo 6: Hands down, this is my favorite photo I've taken all year. It was in an abandoned mill in Taunton that I had taken my senior photos at. We had just finished up and almost got the cops called on us but along with the senior photos, this was the best place for a photo. The sun was just starting to set but still gave enough natural lighting. You can see the grass poking through the old concrete, up the telephone pole, and up long the buildings as it meets the broken windows. The location was just so cool to me and a spot that seems like a great place for a late summer night punk rock concert. If I could go there without the great chance of getting arrested, I would have taken a lot more pictures there
